Distribution patterns of 6 biochemical tests (AST, ALT, total protein, albumin, total cholesterol and BUN) are analysed in HBsAg positive and/or Anti-HCV positive 2,268 donors among total 42.295 donors. The prevalence rate of HBsAg is 4.50% and
the
prevalence rate of Anti-HCV is 0.825% and that of HBsAg and anti-HCV is 0.033%. Most values of total protein, albumin, total cholesterol and BUN are within reference limits and represent similar pattern with those of viral marker negative blood
donors.
But 10% of AST and ALT values displayed above upper reference limits.
